Students must be proficient in at least one programming language and are expected to use a language in which they are experienced. Due to the quick pace of this course, students will not be successful if they use this course to learn a new language.

After registering for PSP for Engineers I: Planning, attendees receives a copy of the book, A Discipline for Software Engineering by Watts Humphrey, ISBN: 0-201-54610-8, 2003.
A letter detailing the pre-course reading assignments is provided. It is important that the assigned chapters are read before coming to the course.
It is also important that the assignments described in the textbook are NOT begun until they are assigned during the course.

PSP for Engineers I and II are each five-day sessions separated by approximately 3 weeks:
Days one to four: 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Day five: 8:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.

This class is generally taught as part of a comprehensive introduction program at the customer site.
